Via Sant'Anna

I like looking through the open windows, inside the front doors that let one glimpse the green of a garden or the light of a courtyard, and also through the gates and amid the gaps that from time to time open between one building and another, showing spaces that I can perceive only partially, while my imagination gets off the ground and creates in my mind what remains hidden.
That's why every break of the otherwise compact blocks composing the city is for me an opening to a possible imaginary world, an opportunity to dream and maybe also to escape from the present and from the place where I am.
A few days ago, in
via Sant'Anna, I found one of these "magic" places, and it was pleasant, despite the sharp cold, to linger in front of this tree with its branches tenderly lightened by the winter sun, and lose myself among the roofs and the balconies hanging between a mysterious garden and the sky.
(If you wish to see a similar place in one of my past works, look here).
